Upon completing a Bachelor of Finance Degree at Newcastle University in 2002 I commenced work with a local financial planning company. Since then I have further developed my technical skills as an adviser by completing the Diploma in Financial Planning.
After four years in financial planning I travelled to the UK to take on a role for INVESCO Perpetual in London (with the Institutional Client team) dealing with the investments of large corporate clients.
My time in the UK increased my desire to help people make smart and informed financial decisions.
But I wanted to be back in Australia. So I returned to Newcastle and worked for another Financial Planning company for 12 months before I decided to create my own business.
In early 2009 Lifepath Advisers began, with its goal being the creation of a unique experience for clients, and through our professional guidance, helping them create their own financial plan.
We believe that the only way true, unbiased advice can be delivered, is through charging clients a professional fee for advice, rather than accepting fees/commissions from product providers (Where the product becomes secondary to the personalized strategies we can provide).
At Lifepath Advisers we feel that the traditional methods of providing financial advice are no longer appropriate. With information becoming more readily available through technology, we believe the focus should be on the transfer of information to our clients to assist them in making the most appropriate financial decisions.
Since the introduction of the financial modeling tooling into our interactive client meetings, we have received a lot of feedback. This has been very useful. We want clients to see the effect of their current financial decisions, and the way they impact their future. It's their future and they need to be in control. With some helpful advice clients enjoy watching their plans unfold with positive results.

If you choose to go on then our charges are based on time spent in providing you with the education and advice needed to make the best financial decisions. Our fee to be part of the Advice for Life Program includes client education sessions, preparation and implementation of an advice document, as well as interactive planning sessions using our modeling tool, and is usually priced between $2,000 and $5,000. We do NOT receive any commissions from super or investment providers in addition to these fees.
